The Thirty Second Google Rule

 * If one of us can find a good answer to your question in 30 seconds or less using only Google or the MySQL website, 
 we won't kickban you. But we'll certainly be considering it.

Just because someone who is an experienced user of MySQL could find something in thirty seconds doesn't mean that a newbee, to whom the correct keywords may not necessarily come to mind, could find it. And to say you would actually consider kickbanning someone simply for being clueless really does read like a newbees keep out sign.Dejvid 01:50, 1 Dec 2005 (CST)

Away Messages

Away messages, such as /me is away, pager:(on|off) and /me has returned, are highly irritating and should be disabled when entering the channel. Consider using /away instead. See the following article for a more detailed/harsh description of the issue:
