- This book is second only to the MySQL Reference Manual itself (some would say the reverse is true). It functions as both a reference guide and a tutorial; it is not particularly useful for a highly proficient audience.

- This book is of course a great resource for preparing to take the Core and Professional certification exams. It is also, however, a good source of general purpose information.
