spam

Hi These pages have been created only for link spam and probably should be deleted: Online Pharmacy Best pharmacy Cialis levitra Poker Room Monarch men I can just keep blanking them so don't worry if you don't get round to it.

Just a thought, seeing as the spammers are bypassing established pages, there is probably no point in the blocks on pages like the Community page. (the block on the main page is of course essential).

If it continues I will simply put a block on the pages so they can't edit them, either. ;)

Our spammer (and it looks if there is only one) seems to be only concerned with improving their Google rating and so they aren't bothered which page they use. Insisting on email confirmation of registration would solve the problem but I imagine that would need some work to set up. As the spammer, tho persistent, is trying not to be noticed, this is probably overkill for the moment.

admin status

User:Tcowher seems to have gone a bit wild in his spamming. Could I hav admin status, please, so I can do roll backs and so as to be able to ban him ( and future incarnations)? Dejvid 10:15, 14 Dec 2006 (CST)

restricting access to spammers

You might find this of interest: [1]. At the moment restricting new page creation would be my priority. Disabling anon new account creation would be rather drastic but given the current level of spamming I don't think it would be overkill.Dejvid 12:40, 25 Aug 2007 (CDT)
